Hi, I’m Priya Dass. While growing up in India, I was always interested in cooking and healthy eating. Many years later, after the birth of our older son, my husband and I moved to the USA. I’ve spent most of my adult life raising my two boys. Several years ago I was thinking of what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I realized that I really wanted to help ‘ordinary’ people become healthier.
I decided on a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology, with practical work in Cardiopulmonary Rehab and Employee Wellness. I continued my professional development in this area and achieved the following certifications:
- ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist
- ACSM Exercise is Medicine Level 3 Credential
- NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer.
- NASM Certified Women’s Fitness Specialist
- Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified in Nutrition and Coaching
I have more than my share of health issues, including having had several surgeries, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, an under active thyroid, sleep issues, etc.
So, I do feel that I am part of the population I would like to educate and help. I hope you will join me in reaching your health goals, whether it is losing weight, becoming fit, or maintaining a healthy lifestyle and managing chronic conditions.
I coach women in their 50s to help them lose stubborn weight, become more fit and strong so they feel more confident in their career as well as their personal life.
Other things about me: I like to dabble in photography and love to travel and hike with my family. I enjoy cooking, baking and gardening. Thrift stores and garage sales hold a special place in my heart.
